Hi Guys,
The wife is getting tired of seeing two non-running cars in the garage. After much back and forth we agreed to "try" to sell the '68 442 Convertible. If it sells I have money to pour into my '67 and she gets a parking space in the garage. If it doesn't....I get to keep my '68.
Asking price is $8000. It's a pretty clean - motor missing- original 442 convertible without the usual rot, bondo and ravaging from bone heads. I picked it up recently from the 2nd owner who had it in dry storage since the early 80's. He pulled the original 400 and threw it out hoping to put a chevy 396 in. There are a few spots that need tiny rust repair- Drivers door corners and a few small spots on the quarter panels- size of a quarter, no bigger. The drivers side front fender has a tiny very repairable spot of rust and the passenger side fender has zero rust. The paint has a good shine yet it's 25 year old laquer with lots of checking and flaking. Would work as a driver, best to strip and paint it. originally a t400, floor shift, bucket, AC, electric window car. Yellow with white interior and top. I have the correct code transmission that will go with the car. All moldings are in excellent straight and shiney condition. Tail lights are bright (from inside storage), bumpers are straight and in very good condition, rear view mirror is pristine, dash area under windshield has no rust or rot. This is a very clean project that you could drive around after installing engine or do a full restoration with very little body work and no hunting for missing parts. Please excuse the horrible corvette rims....I had nothing to do with them. I also have a 1968 455 pulled from a delmont 88- it was a low mileage engine in excellent condition. My local machine shop checked bore, crank and all components- simply needed, rings, bearings and a hone. I'll sell the complete motor with C heads- we can negotiate price if interested in car. Willing to sell with or without tmy engine. See pictures at: http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d141/shamusj/68%20cutlass%20parts/yellow%20442%20convertible/
Yes, I am very serious about selling if I can get my asking price. I recentl sold a relatively rusty cutlass convertible shell (no parts) for $3500. This is a much better deal and a much better car. Feel free to email me: mike@jacobyproperties.com I will provide phone number upon request. Thanks

Clean car! Wish the dollar wasn´t that high against the Swedish Kronor, otherwise I would buy this car.

Ok maybe I was a little stoned on the price. $6500 or it gets moth balled for a few years until I can get to it.
